Super delicious! Yelp, your reviewers did not disappoint. And I got a yelp check-in discount of 10%! My companions and I enjoyed: cinnamon roll French toast, biscuits and gravy, country fried steak, bacon cheeseburger, and kids Mickey pancake. The portions were huge and the price was super reasonable, we even had leftovers. Normally, the kids menu is not a lot of food, but it was here, a generous portion! Our total was less than $60 (after my Yelp discount). The menu is extensive. There are a wide variety of foods available. The server was so kind. The restaurant is clearly older, but this is a local place where the locals will be eating which is always a good sign. Also, there are tons of veteran appreciation items and decorations. Be prepared - they make your food fresh so it could take a bit. This is NOT fast food. I highly recommend!

Stopped in for a takeout lunch. We got the chicken fried steak (which came with a vegetable, salad, and mashed potatoes) and a kids chicken strips and fries. All were packaged with utensils and catchup. The strips were excellent and the chicken fried steak was absolutely fantastic. The zucchini was grilled and was equally delicious. This was one of the best meals we've had on our westward Route 66 adventure. I highly recommend this establishment. Since we're traveling with the dogs we don't go inside most places for meals.

Love stopping by when I'm in the area. Current Early Bird Special for $6.99 before 10am is Biscuit& Gravy with 2 Eggs and Hash Browns. Of course we ordered one, their biscuits are fluffy and buttery. Zucchini Fries- were more of zucchini wedges of 1 inch diameters. Batter was light and crispy with a peppery taste. Pork Chop & Eggs- server said people usually order them fried, which I then chose. Pork chops were really dry and tough. I wished they tenderized the pork just a tad bit. Wouldn't order this again. Omelets are huge and filling.

Pork chop and eggs always, always awesome. So friendly, and "friendly" is the best. Shout out of praise to Dillion Autumn because I can be a handful!!!

Had lunch today at Rutherfords and 5 star! Mandy was our server and she was very energetic, friendly, and gave us wonderful service. She even let us know that this location was the 3rd Denny's ever and had a picture on the wall from 1960. Very cool. All American Diner! Food was delicious. I would suggest a very deep cleaning on the floors. Kind of greasy and almost slipped. Other than that, great spot and would definitely try again the next time we are visiting family in Kingman.

Cute little dinner! Service was great and so was the food. I will definitely stop back in when I drive through!

Americana at its finest! Kingman is a fantastic little town rich with the energy of Americana and route 66. The first rule of the road when you're in a town you've never been to before and want to eat at a great restaurant (prior to Yelp) is you look for the place that has the most cars in the parking lot - and MAN! On that standard the Rutherford Diner lights up like a Christmas tree - large parking lot filled! but for as packed as it is, we got a table after a fast 5 min wait. BTW - if you do a Yelp checkin here you will get a 10% discount on each item when you go to pay!! I got the country fried steak & eggs ($14.49) which is 6 oz of cube steak hand cut daily (I'm told they also cut their carne asada from the same shoulder cut of beef) and rolled in seasonings and fried to perfection, served with 2 eggs. It comes with a choice of potato (I got cottage cheese because of my low carb diet) & bread. My girlfriend wanted me to get sourdough since she gets the toast and it was skillet toast, served Texas toast style (not as thick though) and was awesome! The chicken fry was really good & just what the doctor ordered on this crisp 45 degree morninmg. Their coffee is also really good - farmers brothers brand but they grind their beans and make their own blend and it's better than most diner coffees out there! Girlfriend got the Texas Skillet ($12.49) which is hand cut & seasoned carne asada, green peppers, onions & mushrooms on a bed of delicious country potatoes topped with cheese & 2 eggs and she loved it. The scramble was cooked to perfection in just the right amount of oil to blend the delicious ingredients for a great breakfast. Overall this is exactly what we were looking for this morning on historic Route 66 after a good nights sleep at our great little motel the Rambling Rose. We will be back next time we pass this way! Thanks for a great breakfast guys!!
